Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao had been through a number of titles, each of them carrying what he had accomplished through his prowess in boxing. From his starter nickname as Pac-Man, Pacquiao had also earned the titles “The Destroyer”, “Fighting Pride of the Philippines”, “The Mexicutioner”, “The People’s Champ”, “Pambansang Kamao”, “The Fighter”, and the “Pound-per-Pound King”. 


According to Philippines Boxing News, Manny had also plans on many of his businesses. One of those is turning his own bar into a place for bible studies. He also gave all his fighting cocks away so as to prove that he had moved on from that life and into the life with god. 

Boxing Career Now many ask, what will happen to his boxing career? Now that Pacquaio is treading the holy path, many fear that this will dampen his fighting prowess, particularly now that Bradley had agreed to Pacquaio Showdown. 

However, though Pacquiao has vowed to follow the path that god had laid down in him, he will still perform his task as the People’s Champ and the Pound-per-Pound King. And after that, he might finally retire after years in the profession and focus more on being a congressman and as a Bible Ambassador.

Effects of the Climate Change in Philippine Weather

It’s almost the end of the holiday season and the start of the summer season yet rain showers, even flooding, are still felt in many places across the Philippines. And according to latest Philippines Weather reports, a new low pressure are is expected to hit Mindanao within 24 hours.

Manny Pacquiao told by God in a dream to retire

Philippine boxing hero Manny Pacquiao said on Monday that he had been told by God in a dream to retire soon, potentially raising doubt over hopes of a fight with American Floyd Mayweather.

Pacquiao, regarded as the world’s best pound-for-pound fighter, told radio station DZMM in an interview also broadcast over the channel’s Teleradyo TV show, that he had decided to give up all his vices after the dream.

“I will not stay long in boxing because He said: ‘You have done enough. You have made yourself famous but this is harmful,’” said a serious-looking Pacquiao, who has won eight titles in as many weight divisions.

Pacquiao, 33, said he had the dream earlier this year but declined to reveal how many more fights he would contest before stepping down. Continue reading here....

Child-friendly Mind Museum opens March 16

Well, check out this child-friendly mind museum opens on march 16.

The museum is not a playground, a place to let your kids loose. But The Mind Museum at Taguig (TMMT), which will open to the public March 16, seeks to make science accessible and interesting to kids; it seeks to be both educational and fun for kids.

TMMT promises to be a unique science museum where you won’t have to rein in your child’s curiosity and hyperactiveness. These qualities play to the advantage of kids as they explore over 250 interactive exhibits.

“Think of it as an educational institution,” said Manny Blas, managing director of Bonifacio Art Foundation Inc., one of the museum’s organizers.

“It is a showcase of ‘what we know, how we know it and what we do with what we know,’” said organizers in a press statement. “Teachers can find ways to supplement their science lessons and students can satisfy their curiosity about how the world works.”

The bottom line, organizers said, is to help breed scientific literacy that could inspire people to understand nature and support the sciences. No person is too young or too old for that, they added.

How to fight stressful situations

Here are ways to move the pressure around and out of your body through what is called energy intervention.

Dead end

Yes, while challenges in life could lead to a dead end, the feeling is just an illusion. Stressful situations trigger fear within everyone. When you are at this point, here’s what you can do: fight depression by first accepting that every cell in your body needs to be revitalized.

When you are depressed, energy is not moving as well as it should. In fact, it gets trapped and is heavy—thus, the expression “I’m down.”

To get the energy flowing again, stretch for three minutes.

Ever so gently, stretch the skin on your face, scalp and neck. Do you know that the effect is beneficial stimulation to the stomach, small and large intestine, bladder and gallbladder?

One quick response is by placing your middle fingers in your upper lip, and tracing the sides of the mouth. Do the same on the lower lip going upward.
